Josh Bender tried his first martini at age 7.  His grandfather had him mix a dry vodka martini with a twist, and by the age of 12 he was the designated bartender at family functions.  By the time he was 19, he was hooked on that first sip of a perfectly chilled dry martini.

The self-proclaimed "Vancouver Martini" king, Josh is famous for his swank Downtown Martini Parties and posh Martini Tours.  The idea for the Martini Tour struck Josh as he and his martini-swilling companion Dan Cripps were enjoying their fifth martini at their daily three-martini lunch at the Gerard Lounge at the Sutton Place.  Why not impart our wisdom to others, showing them the secret gin-joints and olive-vodka-soaked speakeasys of Vancouver?

Thus the Martini Tour was born.

Eventually, however, Josh found that he had tried all the martinis that Vancouver had to offer, so he headed down to Los Angeles in search of the elusive perfect martini.  While away, Josh has entrusted the stewardship of Vancouver Martini to fellow martini aficionados and friends Jack Denault and Erik Whiteway.
